Poolside's Read — The corridor gains a daytime room built for stillness rather than speed. Everyday pairs third-wave coffee with a strict clean-ingredient standard, and the founder's recovery story explains the design end to end: nourishment on the ground floor, physical recovery above.

Everyday opened last autumn at the corner of Piʻikoi and South King Streets, in the space that formerly held Bakery & Table. The room is deliberately elegant & modern — tall windows, natural light, and booths and couches rather than a bank of laptops.

The concept sits in the name: high-quality, unfussy nourishment, every day.

The founder, Steele Dubar, is a former University of Hawaiʻi Rainbow Warrior. A run of football injuries sent him toward saunas, ice baths, and other recovery therapies, and that routine became the blueprint for the building.

Lava Wellness extends the same idea into movement classes, infrared saunas, ice therapy, hyperbaric oxygen, and red-light therapy.

What is in the cup

The sourcing is where Everyday earns its name. Espresso and pour-overs use single-origin Ethiopian and Guatemalan beans from New Order, a small-batch roaster in Michigan. The matcha is ceremonial-grade, the hojicha is organic, and every milk is seed-oil-free.

Menu features include:

  • The Everyday — a milk base beneath a house coconut-cream top, taken with espresso, matcha, or hojicha
  • The Cloud, which trades the milk for organic coconut water.

A selection of thick wellness smoothies rounds out the menu. Pastries and heavier plates are, by design, not the point.

The room offers no Wi-Fi, also by design — an invitation to speak with the person across the table, or simply to sit with one's own thoughts.

The Wrap

Everyday keeps morning hours, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Free parking is accessible from Alohi Way, with additional stalls along South King Street. It is a short drive mauka of the Ala Moana — an easy detour for anyone working the Honolulu.
